Install Om MCP in Cursor

Add the hosted Om MCP in Cursor desktop with a remote HTTP server entry, then complete OAuth from Tools & MCP.

Cursor desktop can connect to the hosted Om MCP as a remote HTTP server. Add the URL, connect from Tools & MCP, and complete the Om browser login.

Verify the install

Save the config

Use `.cursor/mcp.json` in the project, or `~/.cursor/mcp.json` for every project.

Open Tools & MCP

In Cursor, open Settings → Cursor Settings → Tools & MCP.

Connect Om

Find the omtx server and connect. Complete Om OAuth in the browser.

Ask for om_status

Start a new chat and ask the agent to run om_status.

Cursor desktop only for now

Use Cursor desktop. Om completes OAuth through a local callback. Cursor on the web and Cursor Agents use a hosted callback Om has not enabled yet.

Email only

Om asks for email only. If Cursor requests openid, profile, or phone, cancel instead of approving.
